History is said to be written by the victors. This classic book from Howard Zinn turns that truism on its head and re-writes history from the perspective of the marginalized. It's an eye opening book that will hopefully add a little more perspective to our view of the status quo and how our country has relied so heavily upon the exploitation of others. To me, it has also reinforced the notion that history certainly does repeat itself. The unrest of today is much the same as the discontent of yesterday and tomorrow.
